Things to be thankful for

A quick list of things to be thankful for:

a) I went out to dinner with a very kind young lady last night, and had fried clams. They were superb. That's one desire out of the way, then.

b) As a result of going out yesterday evening, I fell much, much better about the amount of work I have to get done this term. It's hellish, but doable.

c) My Nelson's character dictionary arrived today. It's a new edition, and certainly better than the one I bought back in 1993. Lousy color, but it's much better to work with.

d) Tonight I met someone I'll be working with over the summer. As a result, I'm looking forward to my job even more avidly than I had been yesterday.

All told, it's been a good day. One to be thankful for.

By the way, how did you become fluent in Japanese. Did you learn it in college. I am thinking of starting learning a language at college, but dont know which. I want to learn a language and become fluent in it. And japanese seems so difficult. p.s I am already fluent in 3 languages and very good at a fourth one. visit my cool website :)
My undergraduate degree is in Japanese. I'd not recommend trying to learn it from scratch in law school--finding the time would be difficult.
Man, he forks over the cash for the Nelson kanji dictionary. Do you read/like Hikaru no Go?
But do you recommend it in college? Does two years of Japanese at college let you become fluent.
