OK, this is very surreal. For the last two classes, we've had a mouse running around the room. This has to be the oddest classroom disturbance I've ever seen...
Just to note, our professors were really good about working the mouse into the lectures. Credit to them, I guess.

During my International Law class at USF, the pigeons would fly through the huge windows and up into the ceiling above the projector where there was a hole, and their home as well. During two class periods the birds came in and out and were interesting the first time but nothing special after that. Well the professor was the one with the problem. He cancelled class in anger and disgust.
I'm glad that your professor has been able to use the mouse in the lecture to help rather than hinder :-P

Perhaps your former professor had prior negative experiences with Pigeons. Other than the obvious distraction, they seem rather harmless.
