Inappropriate Banner Ads

One more before bed. When I checked out this week's Onion lead article (screenshot), there was a particularly inappropriately placed ad for John Kerry. Certainly someone should have prevented this?

Link to the original Onion article. If you look towards the bottom, you'll see fake Bush ads...

John Kerry's a bad man for putting Bush down in his campaigns....oh well, it gives Bush room to bad mouth Kerry as well.
An unfortunate coincidence. I'm sure when Kerry signed up with Mediaplex it was never dreamed of that his ad would appear next to a fake story about ads. However, when he agreed to advertise in the Onion, and I imagine his campaign consented to advertise on the Onion, he should have known that his ads could appear next to stories that could cast his ads in a not-so-positive light or next to stories some may find distasteful. Of course, this is evidently a different kind of distasteful to Kerry than that put forward by the Daily Kos. Hypocrisy is bipartisan!
Ah, but do you think the Kerry ad placement is as bad as this ad placement: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/msnbc.htm
