Things I'm Selling My Soul For
Now that I've got a bit more time to think, my mind is wandering. Mainly to things that, had I an infinite amount of money, I'd consider buying.
For instance, this. This MG-TD is an authentic version; back when I lived in Washington I used to drive a replica of this model. OK, if I were really wealthy I'd buy a Morgan, but this would be a good second-best.
Or this, a Calabash pipe that's a steal on sale for $576.90. Which is only about $550 more than I could really pay for it at the moment.
Ah, avarice. When I update my sins of the week, it's the one that's never tough to dream up.

My inner pipe pedant is screaming. The link you provide, while a nice pipe indeed, isn't a calabash. (I realize that's either knoxcigar.com's mistake or Dunhill's, not yours.) It's a bent stem briar (or at least that's what it looks like in the picture; it could be some other wood but I doubt it). A very nice, high-quality bent stem briar, but a bent stem briar nonetheless.
You can find some pictures of nice calabash pipes here. Having owned and smoked several gourd calabash pipes in my youth, I strongly recommend one if you're a pipe smoker. I don't think you're going to get a better smoke for the price.

Len,
I know it's not a real calabash, but it's a very pretty pipe, and I'd love to have one. (There's also a very nice calabash in a pipe shop in Oxford that I'd like to buy, but it's not online.) I thought of making that point, but figured the post was already going into the "only Tony could care about this" territory.
Nice to see I was wrong.
